Privacy Policy for Cleaner

This Privacy Policy explains how Cleaner (the “App”) handles information when you use it. Cleaner helps you review similar photos, screenshots, screen recordings, larger videos, and duplicate contacts. Your privacy is important to us, and the App is designed to keep analysis on your device.

Information the App Accesses

Cleaner may request access to the following information and device features:

• Photo Library: Used to analyze and display photos and videos, identify similar photos, screenshots, screen recordings, and larger videos, and perform actions that you explicitly confirm.
• Contacts: Used to identify possible duplicate contacts and merge selected contact records after you confirm the action.
• Notifications: Used only if you enable optional cleanup reminders.

How Information Is Processed

Photo, video, and contact analysis is performed on your device. If an item is stored in iCloud Photos and is not currently available on your device, Apple’s Photos system may download it so the App can process it locally. Cleaner does not upload your photos, videos, or contacts to a server operated by us.

Photo and Video Actions

Cleaner does not automatically delete photos or videos. You choose the items to remove and confirm the deletion through the system photo library. Deleted items are normally moved to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app, where Apple may allow them to be recovered for a limited period.

If you use video compression, the App creates a compressed copy in your photo library. The original video remains unchanged unless you later choose to delete it.

Contact Actions

Cleaner does not change contacts automatically. When you confirm a merge, the App keeps one contact record, adds missing phone numbers and email addresses from the selected duplicates, and removes the other selected duplicate records.

Information Stored by the App

Cleaner may store preferences and limited activity information on your device, such as review periods, reminder settings, the date of a cleanup, the number of items removed, and an estimated size for those items. This information is used to provide the App’s features and cleanup history. It does not contain copies of your photos, videos, or contacts.

Your Choices and Controls

You can grant, limit, or revoke Photo Library, Contacts, and Notification permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app. Some Cleaner features may not work when the required permission is unavailable. You can also disable optional reminders within Cleaner.

Data Retention

Preferences and cleanup history remain on your device until they are removed by the App, you clear the App’s data, or you uninstall the App. Photos, videos, and contacts remain under your control through Apple’s Photos and Contacts apps.

Children’s Privacy

Cleaner is not intended to collect personal information from children. Because the App’s media and contact analysis is performed on the device, we do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the App.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or its privacy practices change. Any updated version will be posted with a revised effective date.
